Near Pro- Two Play Combo
Playbook: SEA (or most playbooks that have the Near Pro formation)
USE THE DUAL HB PACKAGE WITH BOTH OF THESE PLAYS!
Play 1: Near Pro- FB Dive
Setup:
Step 1. Motion the outside right WR to the left and snap the ball once he is over the RT
The FB dive is extremely tough to stop this year. There have been a couple of FB dive glitches that have already been banned from tournament play, but the use of motion with the FB dive is just as effective and 100 percent legal and legit!
You can run this play as your bread and butter and move the ball up and down the field while controlling the clock.
Now after a while, the defense is going to begin to pinch their defensive line, stack defenders over the middle of the line, use the run commit, and all types of other stuff that leave them wide open to other plays.
This is when we move to play two in this deadly combination.
Play 2: Near Pro- HB Inside
Setup:
Step 1. Motion the outside right WR to the left and snap the ball once he is over the RT
Now as you can see, we are using the same WR motion on both our plays here. This makes both of our plays look exactly the same so the defense will have no idea of what to expect before it is too late.
This play is extremely effective in its own right to the point that you can abuse it like the FB dive, but it works even better when you use these two plays together.
The reason is simple. While this play is designed to attack the inside by default, this play's blocking is tremendous and allows you to easily bounce the run to the outside or off tackle and pick up huge yardage.
Final Thoughts:
After you run the FB Dive for a bit and the defense is keying on it, the HB inside becomes extremely deadly. Deadly to the point where you have the chance to score every time you run it. I really like running these two plays together because it is nearly impossible to stop the two from one defensive setup. They also are extremely effective alone and you can always count on a positive gain when running them. There is almost zero risk to these plays. Just make sure you sub out your RB's from time to time to minimize the risk of a fumble.
