3-4 Over- Sting Pinch Zone Flipped
1. Pinch the DL
2. Spread out the LB'ers
3. Coverage audible left
4. Playmaker the DT to blitz
5. Playmaker the LDE to blitz
6. Playmaker the LILB to blitz straight down
7. Make sure the LILB is stacked over the DT's left hip, if he is not move him there
Options
1. Playmaker the RILB to blitz
2. Playmaker the ROLB left of screen to perform a purple zone and slide him out 3-5 yards to the left
This is really effective against people who run bunch/tight formations and like to run corner routes.
I manually control the deep FS in the hook zone when running this play. Even though he is in a hook zone assignment, I cover deep down the seams and look for any streak routes by the slot/TE to pick off.
If none are present, I look for crossing routes/posts over the middle of the field.
You want to have your best blitzing LB going up the A Gap for this blitz, so you may need to use subs to get him there. This blitz works 100 percent of the time to get quick A Gap heat. You also get outside heat so there is no roll out. Also slide protection is no factor whatsoever! This blitz is 99 tough!
