Setup:
Step 1. Streak the right slot WR
Step 2. Motion the outside right WR running the C route to the left
Step 3. Snap the ball right after he passes the right slot WR
When you run this play, you can clearly see that the slot WR's never will get jammed from this formation!
Now as far as the corner routes go, you will want to throw them with a pass lead to the sidelines. Make sure to throw the pass as a bullet as well.
The key to getting the catch animation where your WR flies to the ball when it looks like he will not be able to make the catch is to hold down turbo and the catch button as soon as you click on the WR!
These two factors make corner routes so deadly this year. Because of the fact that pass leading is back to the point is was in Madden 05 where you could pass lead corner routes so far to the outside, the WR is the only player with a chance for the catch. Now when you realize, you can get trigger this catch animation all day to get to the ball, the routes will be abused all year long.
I hot routed the streak route on the right side of the field to keep the defense honest. If the SS cheats on the corner route, I will strafe the streak all day long.
You should have noticed in the images, but if you missed it, the slot WR's are unbumpable from this formation. That is the reason we choose to show these concepts from this play in particular. However, the tips on corner routes, pass lead, and user catching can be used in any book or play.
Final Thoughts:
One last thing of note in regards to this play is not to sleep on the HB flat route. HB flat routes out of the backfield this year are much more effective than they were last year, however they are not as overly effective as they were on PS2.
