Onside Kick Recovery
Step 1. Move the cursor a tad to the left and very slightly down
You should barely see the furthest left point of the cursor sticking out of the left side of the circle inside the football.
Step 2. Kick the ball at about 40 percent power
When performed correctly, this kick goes between two of the inner recovery men towards the left of the screen. A lot of times the ball will bounce off their body, letting you get an easy recovery. Other times, nobody on the hands squad will even touch the ball giving you an easy recovery.
This is by far the most effective and consistent onside kick in Madden 09. A solid onside kick is always a must to have in your bag of tricks in any Madden game. However, in Madden 09, the importance of onside kicks are magnified. This is because games between skilled players often come down to one possesion. Being able to recover an onside kick is often the difference between a win and a loss!
